scoreweek ddsl soccer results

20th May 2016

The league has just learned of the sad passing of Harry Whelan, who gave great service to the league and in particular the referee's over many years that he was involved in the DDSL.

Always a smiling face and a perfect gentleman when speaking to referee's, as he passed on his vast knowledge to referee's young and old, Harry will be sadly missed by all his friends in the DDSL.

May He Rest in Peace.

Reposing at the Kiltipper Woods Care Centre on Sunday from 4pm until 7pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 11:30am in St. Agnes's Church,

Crumlin Village to Newlands Cross Cemetery.

Family flowers only please.

The SFAI Inter league finals take place tomorrow in Cahir FCs ground in Tipperary:

The DDSL under 13 squad take on the Donegal league with a 1pm kick off -

that game will be followed at 3pm by our under 12 squad who take on the Galway league.

Congratulation to both squads on reaching the National finals and the best of luck to all involved tomorrow

20th May 2016:

Please note that the AGM of the league will be held on Thursday May 26th in the Red Cow at 7.30pm sharp.

Everyone attending the meeting will be required to register before entering the meeting with their own name and the club they will represent at the meeting:

On the agenda will be the proposed change to calendar year football for the year 2017 following on from the survey requested by our clubs at a bi-monthly meeting earlier in the year. This is a very important decision and a large attendance is expected, exercise your club/teams right and vote on the night whether for or against the proposal.

Under the rules of the league - each club is entitled to 1 vote per team registered in the league - there is no proxy voting and 1 person 1 vote applies on the night - for example team (A) has 22 teams, that club will be entitled to 22 votes, however they must have 22 people in attendance at the AGM to cast those votes, each person must be over 18 years old on the night of the vote.

Please see attached our small sided games survey forms - can all team managers involved in the under 8s, 9s and 10s take the time to complete the survey. The survey forms provide the fixture secretaries with valuable information with regards to ensuring that teams are placed in divisions where they can play with other teams of a similar standard.
