Alterattions for Small Sided Game Sept 2013 |

Due to unforseen circumstances the article, as promised, regarding some changes to the way the Small Sided Game will be played from September 2013, was unable to go to print for last Monday.
Please be assured that the article will be in The Herald on Monday 17th June as it has been submitted for publication. Sincere apologies for any confusion and the delay in letting our clubs know the plans for the new season.
We hope to hold meetings for all the managers concerned with the changes prior to the season starting.
Later in the week, all the details will be published on this site in case you miss the paper on Monday. |

Kennedy Cup comes home again |

Congratulations to the U14 DDSL prepresentative squad and their Management team who have brought the Kennedy Cup back to Abbotstown. The Kennedy Cup has, in the last 10 years, been won by the DDSL 9 times. What an absolutely incredible record..
This year saw the team scoring an amazing 24 goals whilst conceeding absolutely none. It was a fantastic show of highly skilled footballers who put on a display to please the big crowds. Their behaviour both on and off the pitch was commended by an array of people throughout the week. They were an absolute pleasure to look after.
The squad, led by Manager Martin Doyle, Coach Graham Kelly and Physio Ciaran Heffernan, had a fabulous time in Limerick University for the week. Kitman Niall Goulding made sure they looked tip top, whilst Craig Sexton and Karl Doherty added to the already highly experienced Management staff. It was a great opportunity for Craig and Karl to experience and they admitted to learning so much over the week.
To all the parents, thank you for your co-operation, to all the DDSL staff who took such wonderful care of the players and most of all, to the players and Management team, Thank you all so much for representing the DDSL in style and for winning the Kennedy Cup 2013. |

Congratulations to all teams who took part in the League this season. Information regarding the Presentation of Cups and Medals which takes place on Sunday 9th June 2013 is available on this site. |

The Small Sided Annual Presentation of Awards will be held on Sunday 9th June 2013 at 12.30 in The Red Cow Moran hotel. Tickets are priced at 15.00 per child and 20.00 for adults. Meal will be served at 1.00 and following this the Presentation of Medals and Cups will be made. Please use the attached form to apply for tickets.
The under 9 and under 10 divisions will receive 10 players and 1 Manager and 1 Coach medals. The under 11 teams will receive 12 players medals and 1 Manager and 1 Coach medals.
The 11 a Side Annual Presentation of Awards will be held on Sunday 23rd June 2013 at 12.30 in The Red Cow Moran Hotel. All tickets are priced at 20.00 for this event. Meal will be served at 1.00, followed quickly afterwards by the Presentation of Medals and Cups. All 11 a side winner and runners-up teams will receive 16 players medals and I manager and I coach medal.
Any club wishing to order extra medals must phone MMI directly on 01-450-9577 and they will guide you through the process.
