2019 Festival of Futsal

The annual DDSL/FAI Festival of Futsal will start on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th January 2019, that has proved so popular in 2017 & 2018.

The annual DDSL/FAI Festival of Futsal will start on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th January 2019, that has proved so popular in 2017 & 2018. Places are limited for both the indoor and outdoor facilities, and open to teams from under 8's to 10's on a first come basis for the Saturday & Sunday slots. The festival runs for 6 weeks and is a great way to prepare for the new season - don't be disappointed and book you slot through the link on the DDSL website to the online payment system myclubfinances.

Under 8’s & 9’s:
DDSL/FAI FUTSAL MODULE RULES

Each Game will start with a normal kick off (Team listed First).
After scoring a goal the team that scored - must retreat beyond the half way line
Play will resume with the GK throwing the ball out to a teammate – the ball

Opponents cannot advance beyond the halfway line until the player receiving the ball from the goalkeeper touches the ball
When GK saves a shot there is no active retreat line
When the ball goes out over the end line by the opposition, play resumes with a throw out into the playing area by the goalkeeper.
Corner kicks apply as normal.
When the ball goes out of bounds over the sideline (touchline), play is re-started with a kick-in, or the player may opt to dribble the ball from the touchline back into play.

Strictly no slide tackling or shoulder charging is permitted in Futsal.
All free-kicks are indirect, and opponents must retreat a minimum of 5 meters from the ball at the time of the kick.
Goalkeepers are allowed to slide in a safe manner inside the goal area
Players have 4 seconds to take free kicks, corner kicks and kick ins.
Goalkeepers have only four seconds to get the ball back into play upon receiving it.
Goalkeepers are not allowed to pick up a back pass.
Indoor: Each game is 30 mins - no half time break.
Outdoor: Each game is 40 mins - no half time break.
Teams can bring 5 to 8 players.
Roll off/Roll on unlimited substitutions are permitted. Regular substitutions and equal game time for all players involved in encouraged
The ball can go as high as it likes however as the futsal ball is weighted this is an irregular occurrence.
However if a team is winning by a 3 goal margin – the opposition are allowed to bring on one or two extra players until the 2 goal margin is restore or the team leading with a 3 goal margin can withdraw a player to play 4v5
Teams will be rotated between Indoor/Outdoor with majority of games Indoor.

Under 8’s, 9’s & 10’s:

Overview
1.Teams must register at least 30 mins before kickoff time (Register with DDSL coordinator as you arrive at the designated venue)
2.Players can play for one club only
3.There is no league tables/points
4.Each team must have a medical kit
5.Clash of colours, 1st named team to choose (all teams to bring two sets of gear/or bibs)
6.Team listed first must provide match supervisor unless opposition in agreement otherwise
7.Games must start at listed times.
8.Teams arriving late for the start of a game may forfeit the time allocated to game.
9.2 Managers and 3 substitutes only allowed on the bench during games
10.In the interest of all participants, all players and adults must conduct themselves in an appropriate manner on and off the pitch. Failure to do so will result in their team being expelled from the Tournament
11.All spectators (non-coaching staff) are asked to view all games from viewing gallery where provided.

12.Please submit all scores of games to venue co-coordinator on the day for monitoring/grading purposes. Teams may be re-graded during the 5 weeks.
13.Allocation of times will be rotated so the same teams are not always the last to finish. Teams will also be rotated between Indoor/Outdoor Pavilion.

U10 – DDSL/FAI FUTSAL MODULE RULES
2018
Each Game will start with a normal kick off by the team listed first.
When a goal is scored – game restarts with a kick off.
After the ball crosses the end line – opposing players must withdraw to the half way line
Play will resume with the GK throwing the ball out to a teammate. 1 player is allowed remain in opposition half. (GK cannot kick from off the ground or out of their hands)
Opponents cannot advance beyond the halfway line until the player receiving the ball from the goalkeeper touches the ball (1 opposing player is allowed remain in opposition half) and full pressure can be applied by this player).
When GK saves a shot there is no active retreat line. GK not allowed to kick ball out of hands.
Corner kicks are taken as normal.
When the ball goes out of bounds over the touchline, play resumes by a kick-in. A goal cannot be scored directly from a kick-in.
Slide-tackles or shoulder charging are not permitted in Futsal.
Laws of the game regarding fouls & misconduct apply, opponent must be five metres away from the ball at the taking of a free-kick.
